23/09/2009 - The Hommel + Keller Group has consistently developed to become a competence centre for all aspects of metal machining.

The Hommel + Keller Group has done it: The Alding-based company has made the transition from a classical manufacturing company to a provider of comprehensive machining services. "The group has established itself as a true competence centre for mechanical machining, heat and surface treatment and coating technology," explains Petra Volz, assistant to the H+K management. To achieve this, the range of products and services has continuously been expanded over the past years. The customer now gets the entire spectrum of machining possibilities from one source. Petra Volz: "This shortens the machining times and guarantees that the individual processes and machining steps are coordinated for optimal results. A further advantage: Due to bundling of technological capacities, the optimal heat treatment can already be taken into account during the development of turned and milled parts."

As a service provider, however, the H+K Group logically goes one step further:The Alding-based company offers job order machining for numerous mechanical machining processes for turned and milled parts, from prototypes to mid-sized series, including the CAD/CAM interface. Petra Volz: "Customers benefit from our many years of experience in the machining of even difficult-to-machine materials." Of course, the H+K Group also offers customers special technologies and services for job orders, such as profiling or labelling of parts using laser technology.

With 75 employees and sales totalling about eleven million EUR, the H+K Group has a good foundation for implementing customer requirements. On this basis, the group has mastered the transition to a competence centre.With the founding of H+K Surface Technology, which specializes in PVD coating technology, and continuous investments in new plants and processes, all services at the H+K Group are optimally coordinated.
