The zeus® marking roll No. 40-A allows for a more flexible use for continuous roll marking applications. Astoundingly simple to use, but nonetheless very effective.

Compared to spring return marking, continuous roll marking has one major restriction: The marking roll is bound to a certain work piece diameter and the marking roll is therefore normally designed for one work piece series only. The marking text remains the same, text variations are not possible. The marking roll No.40-A has been developed to increase the flexibility of this marking method.

The idea is simple but effective:
The main segment contains the text that remains constant. The circular segment contains a letter or a number that varies flexibly, depending on the marking content required. The marking roll can thus be used for several production runs.

EXAMPLE:
Text on main segment Hommel + Keller 1 2
Text on round segment changeable 0/3/4

Continuous roll marking system, i.e. the marking roll is bound to one work piece diameter
The drive is effected by the lateral driving knurl
The round segment (individual number or sign) can be replaced for text variations.
The driving knurl can be removed after the marking through further processing
