Full shank versions complete product rangeIn order to meet our customers' requirements towards maximum flexibility and maximum stability, single-unit shank tool versions now complete the product range.
After introducing the new zeus® product programme last year, the modular shank adaptors remain a subject of ongoing discussions. Whilst many customers are convinced of the advantages of the modular systems, others prefer the knurling tool holders with a standard shank.
To overcome this balancing act between maximum flexibility and maximum stability, for one of the two opposites a compromise has to be made.
As we want to meet both customer requirements, we have now decided to extend our standard product programme once more.
Full shank versions complete standard programme
For applications that are susceptible to vibrations due to very high speed rates or tough material characteristics, a single unit-shank version is now available for the RF1 and RF2 cut knurling tool series in the shank sizes 10x10 mm, 12x12mm and 16x16 mm. The modular tool systems remains standard stock items with the basic shank in size 8x8 mm and its modular shank adaptors for retooling to size 10,12 and 16 mm.
With this product extension, our standard product range now covers both requirements and provides the end-user with a wide range of possibilities. According to machine type, part programme and field of application, both tool versions have their right to exist beside each other: The modular concept remains unbeaten according to flexibility and cost-effectiveness, whereas if stability is the decisive success factor, the single-unit version is the better alternative.
